| 327185 | 2005-02-21 09:44:00 | Here is a typical Tracer Route from me to www.ihug.co.nz at the moment: Tracing route to www.ihug.co.nz [203.109.252.42] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms Router.lan [194.363.41.21] 2 1372 ms 952 ms 741 ms 203-109-156-249.ihug.net [203.109.156.249] 3 1001 ms 972 ms 1572 ms Vl117-tig-nz-core-1.ihug.net [203.109.156.209] 4 1572 ms 1573 ms 1572 ms tig-nz-akl-ns-42.ihug.net [203.109.252.42] As you can see, thats pretty ugly. Is anyone else having issues along the same lines? It only seems to be http that is affected. FTP seems to be up around 25-30k/sec which is what I have been getting. The poor http speeds have only started happening in the last few weeks. Cheers, Mike |

| 327186 | 2005-02-21 11:29:00 | http speeds here are fine. Downloading Gaim from gaim.sf.net Australian ISP OptusNet mirror and they sit at 32KB/s Im more than happy with it! My ping times to ihug.co.nz average between 100 and 600ms. Sometimes I wonder if its just Ihug coz I can get solid pings to a mates xtra connection between 60 and 200ms each time every time! Chill. |
