327839 2005-02-24 10:04:00 Probably this [URL=http://doc.mandrakelinux.com/MandrakeLinux/92/en/Command-Line.html/]link[/URL will help you. Look a chapter8 /etc/fstab section it has an example there on moving /usr ...

pretty much you'd just copy the /usr back to the main drive and clear out he fstab entry. Just make sure that the permissions on /usr are okay.

There's probably some gui tool to do it I guess :o

327840 2005-02-24 19:28:00 Thank you a GUI tool would be good www.pressf1.co.nz Dannz (1668)
327841 2005-02-24 23:17:00 Dont count on a GUI tool buddy

Best bet is to use Knoppix

Boot it and mount both drives (DONT click on the icons, it'll be Read-only)
hit Ctrl + Alt + F2 to get a root prompt
mount both drives as /mnt/hd***
mkdir /mnt/rootpartitionmountpoint/usr
cd /mnt/usrmountpooint
cp -Ruvp * /mnt/rootpartitionmountpoint/usr
then edit /mnt/rootpartitionmountpoint/etc/fstab

327842 2005-02-25 04:09:00 What about keeping permissions Dannz (1668)
327843 2005-02-25 04:19:00 cp -Ruvp sourcefolder/ destinationfolder/
^^As I mentioned before...
The p is for permissions :)

man cp
