| 327755 | 2005-02-24 01:46:00 | I bought a cheap computer and expected problems but I got one I did not expect. The WinXP system is, according to Microsoft, a pirated copy. No sweat - I bought a new boxed XP Pro and to be on the safe side, installed it on a separate partition. When I went back to the the original corrupt version, I found I could not uninstall because in Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, WinXP does not appear on the list. Would appreciate advice on how to remove it without damaging the newly installed version. Thanks in advance. |

| 327759 | 2005-02-24 05:46:00 | how do you know that it was a pirated copy? On downloading some updates you are asked to validate your copy of Windows. Maybe it did not pass the validation check. Possibly! |

| 327761 | 2005-02-24 06:32:00 | The old XP system is no use to you whatsoever, it's just space filling junk. You have a new XP Pro OS, so start all over with a clean install, partitioning and formatting the whole drive to get rid of the crud. | Terry Porritt (14) | ||
