327552 2005-02-23 05:47:00 :dogeye: Hey,

I'm having trouble with a few files that wont delete . They simply don't respond to any command . They can't be moved, renamed (I've tried software like rename . exe) . I have tried to delete them through the Command Promt/Dos Prompt, but that doesn't yield any success . The files I'm talking about show up when I type in . . . /foldername/dir . But when I type in
del filename . ext it says that the file doesn't exist, even though a directory search reveals that it does in deed exist .

The files consist of a couple of songs and a couple of movies that I attempted to download using a P2P program (limewire) . They never downloaded fully, I cancelled them before they were finished . Usually these files just end up in the "incomplete" file, but some of them can not be deleted as I said above .

What can I do? I have trouble shooted this thing for hours and have been met with no success . Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated . :)

327553 2005-02-23 05:50:00 Try deleting in safe mode Speedy Gonzales (78)
327554 2005-02-23 05:57:00 Try MoveOnBoot from www.gibinsoft.net
Select the files to be deleted and they will be delete next time you boot before they are locked by the OS

327556 2005-02-23 22:43:00 Hey, thanks Davesdad .

The MoveOnBoot program worked perfectly . It didn't allow me to delete the individual files, because they wouldn't respond when I tried to select them to be deleted :D first place . But the folders that they were in were easily removed by MoveOnBoot! What a great program . I couldn't even move or delete the folders containing the locked files before, because it thought that the folder contained files that were being used .

Well, my trouble has passed . Thanks again . :D
