| 328278 | 2005-02-26 01:42:00 | Outlook Express does not have it's own spell checker but use the Office spell checker if it is installed. Have a look here for a solution www.tech-pro.net | Davesdad (923) | ||
| 328279 | 2005-02-26 01:44:00 | Normally XP doesnt have a spellchecker when it installs. Look for csapi3t1.dll. (show all files). Normally, u also need something like Word / MS Office, so OE can use the file that this installs. So OE works properly. |

| 328280 | 2005-02-26 02:00:00 | Thanks - Yes I understand and I have Word 97 installed but I can not find where in OE to set the path to Word in order for the spell cheker to work Any guidance ? |

| 328281 | 2005-02-26 02:08:00 | Hmm if word 97 is installed there is no path to configure in OE to configure. It should work. See if that file i posted previously is on your system. csapi3t1.dll Show all files, before u search for it. If it isnt on the hdd, you may have to find it in a cab file on your XP CD. or do a search on google/yahoo and if u can find it copy it to c:/program files.common files/microsoft shared/proof folder. |
