328216 2005-02-25 21:12:00 Hi all,

I thought I could fix this problem but....

When my computer starts up until it shows the desktop screen already, but then Outlook Express suddenlly turns itself on ( I never want it to be turned on ).

then, I went to RUN/MSCONFIG/STARTUP but couldn't find anything related to Outlook Express to shut it down. How strange?

Could someone help me? please. Thanks heaps in advance!

328219 2005-02-25 22:41:00 Have a look in the startup folder on the programs menu. If it is there right click the shortcut and select delete. Davesdad (923)

Thanks for your replies!

Yes, Windows XP Home SP2 and Outlook Express 6 are installed in my pc.

I had a look in the startup folder but found no outlook express 6 there.

I tried "set program access and defaults" to unticking OE6 but then it disappeared, I had to enable it.

I tried to download the other startup software but sill not successful

The program file that runs OE is msnim.exe, so does that appear under start-up?
