| 328152 | 2005-02-25 16:56:00 | When you first install your PC, for Windows XP Home Edition, do I need to install "Windows Updates"? | AsH_ (7426) | ||
| 328153 | 2005-02-25 17:31:00 | Isn't Windows Update automatically installed when you install Windows Xp? If this is a special case, yeah, you should install "Windows Update" to be able to receive critical and crucial updates from Microsoft. | Renmoo (66) | ||

It is not uncommon to get XP infected by viruses before you have a chance to download the security and critical patches to prevent this. :) If your install CD has SP2, then this will include all updates released to that point. This means there will be less updates to be downloaded compared to installing with a XP CD with only SP1 on it. :) |
