| 327959 | 2005-02-24 22:00:00 | I have recently gone 'jetstream' with telecom and notice when checking through the usage page that there were a couple of 'infiltrators 'in the early hour of the morning 3am a 7am. They did not crib much,- 17.51 mb. I run zone-alarm, AVG, which updates every day, Adware and Spybot. I did find one; a tracking bug, which I destroyed. I defrage 2-3 times a week, along with scan and shampoo cleaner. Is there anything else I should do? Telecom recommends I unplug the modem every time I switch off the computer. I am using windows me. There must be a solution better than turning the modem off ? Kind regards |

Yep, someone was probably trying to scan ports on his IP address to see if there was any open ones. One of the reasons I turn mine off at night when I know I am not going to be using it. |
