If you are running a firewall you MAY need to set your pop3 acct (example: pop3.xtra.xo.nz or whatever) in the firewall as a 'trusted site'. Had no end of hair tearing before I came across this one. But i have run my firewall with outlook express for years?? |

| 328082 | 2005-02-26 10:50:00 | But i have run my firewall with outlook express for years?? And so had I ;) Well sure as hell not OE (the virus magnet) but both the email client I use and mailwasher. When I upgraded to AVG7 there was the problem you described. The fix was as I said in my previous post. It's cos avg7 works in a different way to avg6 and yer firewall needs to have the pop acct set in it as a trusted site. Well it does with ZA_pro anyway. The free ver of ZA I think is different. |
