| 327956 | 2005-02-26 01:08:00 | Hi, I'n not a computer pro, but I've found my way around several problems with getting rid of bad or corrupted file with a 16 year old daughter. Please excuse me if I'm stating the obvious, but if the file is a virus or Spyware it could be running in the background. And as long as it's running, it cannot be deleted. Hit Control/Alt/Delete at the same time. Click on Processes tab and see if you can find the file there. If so hilight it and hit end process. Then try to delete it manually. Be careful. I've had some file start themselves bach up again in less that a second after shutting them off. Good luck! Let me know how it goes. I still have a virus in a file that told me I have no access to also. So I'm going to try some of the tips given you. | Scuda (7262) | ||

| 327958 | 2005-02-26 11:39:00 | My other idea was to: Navigate to the file in a command window Ctrl-Alt-Del End task on explorer.exe Delete the file in the command window Then in the Task Manager "New Task" explorer.exe |
