| 328720 | 2005-02-27 19:45:00 | One last remaining problem with my new MB (Leadtek K7NCR18GM Socket462,WinFast nForce 2). I get a "device I/O error" when trying to read files from a USB flash memory device. I know the device (Creative Nomad Muvo) is fine because it works on my other PC. Device manager tells me that all the USB controllers and hubs are working OK, so I don't know where to start to try and fix this. I can live without using a flash drive if I have to, but I also plan to use a USB remote control for this PC (which is in the post). Am I likely to get the same problem using the remote? Please help Cheers, Steve |

| 328723 | 2005-02-27 20:02:00 | have you tried some other hardware in that usb port ?......have you tried the flashdrive in several of the usb ports ? | drcspy (146) | ||
| 328724 | 2005-02-27 20:06:00 | Thanks for the help.. The flashdrive is the only USB device I have, so I can't tell if the problem is specific to that device - let's hope so! I will try to hunt something else up to to rule this in or out. Yes, the same problem occurs both on the back panel USB ports and the case front port via the addtional MB header. |
