| 329259 | 2005-03-01 04:37:00 | I've got a dvd combo drive and a dvd re-writer installed on the same pc. Suddenly the transfer rate fell and it takes 3 times as long to copy files off a cd/dvd. The writing speed also fell, taking ~40-60 mins to write a single side dvd instead of nero's estimated 15mins at 4x. I fixed it by using System Restore (a solution I found off the net), but then all my restore points disappeared for no reason >___> When I reinstalled XP the problem also disappeared. I really hate to reinstall XP every week as the system restore method isn't working anymore. If anyone have recommendations on what I should so, please help. thanks. |
