| 329052 | 2005-02-28 18:45:00 | Very occassionally use the dreaded IE (5.0) instead of Firefox. The thing has now got a new toolbar somehow. It has square coloured buttons for various links to gambling ,finance, smut, etc and even a handy one called 'remove toolbar' which of course dosn't.... how do i remove it please ? cheers Pete |

| 329053 | 2005-02-28 18:57:00 | In IE you can click tools then manage add ons ,select the toolbar you want to remove then click disable. Presuming you have sp2 installed and you have xp. Or grab toolbar cop from here www.mvps.org hth |

| 329057 | 2005-02-28 21:13:00 | run the usual antispyware progs and antivirus (eg adaware/spybot) and lets us know the result. also check in add/remove, sometimes a "legit" spyware will actually have a working remove entry. |

| 329058 | 2005-03-01 02:11:00 | I ran adaware and spybot s&d and picked up a dialer and an alexa thingy... trying to d/l toolbarcop but keep getting "missing DLL file" Tried it from about 4 mirrors, used firebird with and without stardownloader, and IE with its default downloader...also right click 'save as'... is there a way of getting a whole one !? cheers Pete |
