Clicked Nero 5 uninstall,starts to undo,then comes up with, Error 1316A network error occurred while attempting to read the file C\windows\installer\Nero-burning rom MSI,then ok click on that up comes Please wait while reconfiguring,then up comes fatal error during installation. Tried a number of times but a repeat of the above was all I got. |

| 329116 | 2005-03-01 03:53:00 | Burning Rom.msi is on the Nero CD Put the CD in the drive & crank it up as if you were going to do an install You will get an option to uninstall, use that Also, I thought version 5 thru 5.5 & XP were incompatible Conflicts with XP's native Roxio burner Definitely wouldn't install INCD from 5 I remember trashing a system a couple of years back with nero 5 on XP Had to format & reinstall It may have been fixed in a service pack though |

| 329117 | 2005-03-01 04:12:00 | I think you're thinking of CD Creator / Directcd 5 Bart . v 5 of this, wasnt compat with XP until u updated it . I think some version of Nero before 6 weren't compatible with XP SP2 . Nero INCD may have conflicts with XP's burning (when this is enabled) . I've used Nero 5 till now . Never had any probs with it . Altho, I spose this cld be because I've disabled XP's built in CD burning altogether . |

Used that clean tool Speedy and it worked a treat.Now I will try to reinstall and see what happens. |

Having opened Nero,I go through till I get choice of burning a cd in data to cd,did all the things required except it wants me to use cd-r/rw,if I use create a disk from image file I get this box which tells me to put in file name when all I have is a folder. Please be patient :D |
