| 329225 | 2005-03-01 03:29:00 | Right Foxy, I understand ya. Well true its still a system, whether from DSE, or thru shops like Metla's BUT you don't need the software / crap on pre-made ones which will raise the price. Thats why I was trying to say.... If u have the software already. Nothing is a system, until it has something on it. Without software, a "system" is nothing. Pre-made systems are NOTHING like systems like Dell/HP/Compaq. I know that. I have 2 here I got the parts for, and assembled. And I know pre-made systems are HEAPS easier / and most probably easier to format / less hassle to maintain than systems you buy from someone like DSE, Noel Leemings etc. |

| 329226 | 2005-03-02 03:11:00 | Thank you kind folk. From your replies to a some what vague questions I now know what to do come 'buying a new computer desktop for home use by one person, me'. I now know I buy what I reckon is right for me? right? No multi media, no maps of the world, no universal dictionary, no money stuff, no games, no dvd for burning cds, just a plain ordinary email/surfing everyday home computer with no extras, right? AND I should buy it at the local computer shop here in Taranaki. There are 4-7 shops in this province. What do you reckon $2000. Though money is no object! Loved saying that ;) Thanks again guys. | brandysson (7277) | ||
| 329227 | 2005-03-02 03:21:00 | Have a look for the thread Misty made about purchasing a new comp, then compare what you can get with that. | Powerslave (7265) | ||
