| 329972 | 2005-03-03 00:55:00 | Hi Guys, I have a pile of (about 150) photos scanned to a pretty high res. Each is saved in a Tiff file of about 74mb (74,000kb). I want to convert them to jpeg format, but am daunted by the thought of having to open each one separately and resave it (as jpg). Is there some batch, or automated way, or software, that will do this for me while I do something else? Cheers, Ab |

| 329975 | 2005-03-03 03:52:00 | For Linux users, the convert command-line utility will do this. Very small, very fast, lots of options and handles, just convert [-options] /inputdirectory/*.tiff /outputdirectory/*.jpeg. See man convert. |
