| 329384 | 2005-03-01 17:04:00 | I get the following msg when running Scan Disk. "ScanDisk was unable to correct this error because there is already a file or folder named 'section=homepage&richmedia=yes&station=sea&subsection=default&style= 120x45&position=funnel&state=wa&affiliate=fox&owner=cox&pagetype=index &page.multiads=yes&page.allowcompete=no&page[1].htm' in the top-level folder of this drive. To repair this error, quit ScanDisk by clicking Cancel, rename the folder in the top-level folder, and then restart ScanDisk. To continue checking your disk without repairing this error, click OK." I tried to find this folder with the Find command in Win 98SE but could not find it. I also tried to find where the "Top Level Folders" are with no luck. Can anyone give me specific info on how to locate this file to change it as directed or can I just safely delete it? Thanks in advance for the help. Catlovr (USA) |

| 329387 | 2005-03-02 04:41:00 | You can try: Clear out your temp internet files, web folders & delete cookies. If that doesn't work: Run Scandisk in MSDOS: Restart the computer and tap on F8 during Startup to enter the advanced options menu. Select Command prompt only. You can also restart the computer in MSDOS. Start > Shutdown > Restart in MSDOS. At the prompt type the following: Scandisk /all /autofix Press enter. Upon completion restart your computer. |
