| 329403 | 2005-03-02 04:36:00 | By the way, I've set up OE to empty the deleted items on exit so they weren't in there to retrive when I got to the PC, (it was the first place I looked). Actually I was hoping the folder had been dropped into another folder - but it was gone. With about 8 sub-folders there would be about 15,000 email messages in it! The "deleted" emails that get emptied from the Deleted Items folder do not get permanentely deleted until the folder is compacted. That is why I suggested you use DBXtract to extract the emails from that folder. They should all have been there, providing DBXtract can handle 15,000 emails, that is. |

| 329405 | 2005-03-02 06:42:00 | That's a shame. Don't give up yet though, try the links in Google here (www.google.com) to see if any of those tools can do the job. I would recommend copying all the *.dbx folders to another folder as a backup first, before any experimentation. |

| 329407 | 2005-03-02 06:55:00 | It did? :eek: System Restore is not supposed to affect personal files, including emails, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it. I would still make a backup of those *.dbx files first though. |
