329948 2005-03-02 21:23:00 Help I recently had a major hard drive problem Windows XP failing to load. Tried a repair from XP disc without success. Bought a new HDD and attached the old HDD as slave.

Can see all the old users etc on the old hard drive and even open user folders who weren't administrators. But I can't open my old admin user coming up with the message not accessible - access denied. Naturally all my much needed and loved photo's are in the admin user account.

- The username and password on the new drive is the sames as the old
- I've tried sharing the folder and can see the next layer of folders but can't share or access them.
- Right click shift doesn't open run as option.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers

329949 2005-03-02 21:44:00 You need to take ownership of the old folder that you can't access.
