330277 2005-03-07 05:12:00 Thanks for the positive Feedback, george and ill!
/etc/hosts does need editing, and /etc/resolv.conf needs removing
The Gnome menu's need lots added - They'll come in the next release.

Frame-buffer on boot? Im thinking about scrapping the whole thing coz Im not a fan of it. When I build the next one with the latest 2.6.11-love1 kernel I probably wont do it with that..

Fair enough, Frame buffer isnt really needed.

What other sorta things would you guys like to see then? Additions? Amendments? I'll be taking a CD or two to the LUG tonight :D

Chill.
You might want to fix up the very long wait while it transferes all the /etc/ etc. stuff to a ram disk.

Yeah, I'll be at the lug tonight aswell..

330278 2005-03-08 09:53:00 Ladies & Gentlemen, I must confess...

Ive not done _anything_ about it since.

I'll be starting it again shortly, but my 800Mhz is just _too_ slow to do anything with, and my laptop is currently unusable.
I could carry on at work, but I'd rather not risk my Job.

Will drag this thread up when I get VMWare working on the PC Ive given to my family...

Chill.

330279 2005-03-08 10:03:00 fair enough chill, It seems like a worth while project (which I have been following with great interest) with a lot of forum interest, unfortunatly torrent and dailup are not good partners otherwise I would have a copy by now. I'll be watching. beama (111)
330280 2005-03-08 10:10:00 Yes, I totally agree!

Im yet to see something that Im honestly happy to recommend to a first-time Linux user.

Fear not, all hope is not lost - This will just be delayed a couple of days, maybe a week, we'll see how we go.

Its something I really believe in, and want to follow through, so its definately a high priority for me to get this going!

Oh cripes! I feel so silly now, I don't know how I ever missed the attitude now that you've pointed it out ;) I'd still be very pleased to send you a CD if you don't mind the colour scheme and the picture of The Team printed on it.
