330824 2005-03-05 05:18:00 You know how sometimes you want to delete or move a file, but the system error pop up says "sorry the file is in use blah blah" something like that..

How can you find out what program is using the file?
Normally some are obvious like if I'm trying to delete an .mp3 file and the error shows up, I can go to task manager and spot a rogue winamp running, and shut it down. Problem solved.

But sometimes it's not as obvious, and I can't tell what program in task manager could possibly be locking the file. Is there a program, or way you can tell? (without restarting the computer obviously, or ending all the running processes)

Thanks!

330825 2005-03-05 05:27:00 Well yer either thru task manager or whats in startup tab / when u go to start / run and type in msconfig.

Whats the name of the file youre trying to delete?? U can usually go to google or yahoo, and type in the filename you're having probs with and see what that file is / and whether its a virus, trojan, spyware or other.
