2014-08-01 03:31:00 | Hi Team Picked this up in Mailwasher a few minutes ago, flagged as possible spam. I can't see anything potentially mischievous in the body of the email, but I'm not 100% sure that it is from Telecom because I'd expect some explanation of the reasons for doing this, as they did for the last round of changes. Message-ID: <A3.96.03409.B8CBAD35@outbound05> From: "Telecom" <smtpchanges@telecom-email.co.nz> To: "" <xx@xxxxxxx.co.nz> Reply-To: "" <smtpchanges@telecom-email.co.nz> Subject: =?utf-8?Q?Your_email_needs_updating_now.?= X-JHeader: <"36fae426g1gc61g674945g0"> X-BounceID: 6taoiph69f,0 List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:fbl-_6taoiph69f@telecom-email.co.nz?subject=unsubscribe-_6taoiph69f> X-BindingGroup: telecom-email.co.nz The above is just an extract, there was a fair amount more but nothing to help classify it, one way or the other. Cheers Billy 8-{)

2014-08-01 03:44:00 | This seems to relate it to the previous changes made to Telecom Email Hello This is an HTML email sent from Telecom To view this email simply click on the link below to go to the online version. a.smartmailpro.com I'm still not sure about it, because all those changes were made several weeks ago (and gave me a hard time getting it sorted) so I can't see why there would be a further alert at this late stage. | 1380585 | 2014-08-01 04:00:00 | Probably a scam, I've never heard of "telecom-email.co.nz" Best thing would be to ring up Telecom and ask if you are unsure.

2014-08-01 04:50:00 | They are having problem now, I think. I can't even load the Xtramail log in page.

2014-08-01 05:15:00 | They are having problem now, I think. I can't even load the Xtramail log in page. That's just normal operating procedure for Yahoo! - nothing to do with the SMTP server.

2014-08-02 06:14:00 | telecom-email.co.nz is a Telecom-owned domain used for some of their email marketing. It's probably yet another notification of the retirement of their old SMTP server. | inphinity (7274) | |
