| 1366956 | 2014-02-06 07:45:00 | I have decided to get into some RC stuff, specifically boats at this time. So far I brought a nice one to get started but its doing something weird and as I have no experience with it I dunno how to stop it. When I plug in the battery before I do anything with the remote the motors go nuts and rev to what sounds like full throttle. What do I need to do to stop the motors running before the controller tells them too? Can anyone answer this or perhaps point me to a local forum (not interested in overseas sites unless I am left no choice) |

If its still goin crazy then you either have interference coming from somewhere (not common on modern setups but if its a cheap system all bets are off) or a faulty item. as for a website with know it alls.... http://www.rcracer.co.nz/ |

If it is a 2.4 GHZ radio link, ensure the receiver is bound to the transmitter. | R2x1 (4628) | ||

| 1366964 | 2014-02-06 20:33:00 | What can happen is the the esc (speed controller) can reverse the throttle input ,so that that minimum in the controller = max on the motor If you start it up with sticks pointing a certain way, that can be a signal to the speed controller to reverse the throttle. More likely is you have the speed controller in the wrong port on the receiver Also , put the throttle trim all the down & see if that helps Could be the throttle is on the other side if its a stick controller (mode1 , mode2) |
