1366856	2014-02-04 22:01:00	Some people can't wait until the day. Hinewhare Harawira just had to have a go at Sir Jerry Mateparae. Why are these people allowed anywhere near the marae? Totally disrespectful. She should be kicked out and not allowed back. What are you going to do on New Zealand's National Day of Protest? Do you have any interest in going to Waitangi to protest against something? (What you protest against is not so much the issue. It is the act of protesting that's important.) Or is it, for you, just another day off work? I'm certain, for the majority, it is a good excuse to head for the beach or just to have a lazy day off. Let's all fire up the barbie and ignore the attention seekers. After all, it is really supposed to be a day of celebration, is it not?	Roscoe (6288)

The real issue is that there are few Maoris out there who just love making a spectacle of themselves and who love to drag the past along with them because they can't see a way into the future. Nearly $600 million is spent every year promoting the Maori language e.. When the Maori Council takes on the Crown, you pay for both sides f.. When tribal elites negotiate with the Crown, you pay for both sides g.. Auckland’s “super city” legislation set up an unelected Maori Statutory Board with big, expensive ideas and undefined powers h.. You missed the bit on the news where the guy with the moko said they have been trespassed but as they are native to it, they can't really forcibly remove them.
