| 1366822 | 2014-02-05 00:16:00 | The kids are actually just 'playing' with it as a toy. How much do they really learn from 'playing' with it, I have my doubts. It's just a toy for all ages, from new-born to 100 (if one lives that long and have good eyesights), even for pets like, cats, dogs, monkeys, etc. .... :D |

With the right guidance from a teacher the kids could either look stuff up or use it for basic math exercises or object and colour identification exercises. I have a 6 year old niece who is a total whiz and identifying animals, birds, fish, numbers, colours, shapes, words etc on her iPad. She is also very good at various math games and spelling games on the iPad. | Webdevguy (17166) | ||

Things like learning how to write their name with a pen or pencil will probably be replaced by learning how to type it. But learning the 3 Rs, will just be transferred from pen and paper to electronic device. |
