1366136 2014-01-26 04:35:00 The catch will not engage, I am sticking a small screwdriver into the hole but it will not release so the collar is staying on. DeSade (984)
1366137 2014-01-26 05:00:00 Use a flat knife that you can get between the collar and the door and apply a small amount of pressure, the collar could be stuck from say paint.

It just might be that you can only apply my method from the other side of door for security reasons.

1366138 2014-01-26 05:21:00 Since your first post was around 10am and it's now after 6pm and the issue is still not solved I guess you have the answer to how urgent it really was. plod (107)

1366142 2014-01-26 22:11:00 Spoke to the landlord and he is arranging a repair.
Thou in reference to the original query, no it was not considered "urgent" (just bloody annoying)

1366143 2014-01-27 03:07:00 Does anyone know if a locked internal door to a bedroom (and the key is not working) can be considered an urgent repair?
Its Sunday and getting hold of the Landlord is like pulling teeth and I need a locksmith. Sadly you're not in my part of the country... either the mobsters next door, or the cops, or even the 'roaches would make mincemeat of the door! :xmouth:
