My partner is an experienced word processor, but she would like to know if there is a tool or key combination for removeing the formatting of a word doc. It would need to remove tabs, bold, italics, etc. I have found Reset character formatting but this does not remove the tabs from a word doc. My partner uses word 97 at work and home but I use XP. |

Instead, select all the text (Ctrl+A) then Edit|Replace and in the FindWhat box enter ^t and in the ReplaceWith box enter your replacement character (ie leave the ReplaceWith box blank or enter a single space etc) then click Replace All. hth |
