| 332257 | 2005-03-09 08:18:00 | My wife wishes to get a better mouse for her older machine with a serial mouse port. We have some PS2 to serial adapters, but it seems that most modern PS2 mice won't work through adapters. What to do ? Get a new machine, new wife, etc etc??. Cheers Tony |

| 332262 | 2005-03-09 08:32:00 | Certainly older mice would work through an RS232 to PS2 adapter, but newer mice are usually USB compatable with a USB to PS2 adapter. Possibly these may not work, but any PS2 only ones *should* work I would have thought. Google does suggest otherwise though, that many will not work. But you are also right, trade in on a new one. Perhaps you could also get a new computer as part of the trade? |
