| 332240 | 2005-03-09 07:18:00 | Hi, I'm trying to install VMWare on my WindowsME, and get the following 'Error1723. A problem with Windows Installer Package. A DLLfor this install to complete could not be run.' I also notice that my System Restore no longer works. Any suggestions as to what I can do will be very much appreciated. Thanks Sarum. |

| 332242 | 2005-03-10 08:32:00 | Thanks Johnboy, I was installing from the net, so CD not involved. Your Google address suggests that 1723 is a common problem; and I shall work my way through the sites. Thanks again - Sarum | sarum (6222) | ||
| 332243 | 2005-03-10 09:03:00 | Hi Sarum, A quick look at the vmware site (www.vmware.com) seems to suggest that it doesn't support your operating system. Just a thought :) |

You're right, a quick look at the page you suggested would have saved me a deal of time - may I add that 'quick' may not be the word; but thanks again. Its good to be reminded that its worth going back to where you started to find a fault. Cheers |
