When you log on to Norton to download your regular live updates, if your subscription is due within the following 3 or 4 weeks it will automatically warn you that your sub expires on date X No, this is not too simple at all. It's apparently correct - since writing my last posting I've been out to lunch with a friend who's more computer-savvy than me. He assured me that this is exactly what happens - it's controlled through the LiveUpdate process, and doesn't depend on Symantic being able to contact me. So I'm satisfied about that - I just wish they would mention that fact somewhere on their website or in their owner's manual, and save me a lot of time. |
