| 333742 | 2005-03-14 00:34:00 | This has happened to me twice now. WMP 9 installed. But won't open! I can attempt to start thr prog via the start menu or click on a video file (displaying the WMP icon) and nothing! No entry in task manager either. I can open it via winamp or DivX The first time this happened it magically re-appeared (I think at the time I uninstalled a codec(s) from the system) but now it is gone again. I do have 3rd party codecs installed - is this a known thing? It seems I often need to go online to retrieve codecs because a video file will not play correctly. Thanks |

| 333744 | 2005-03-16 08:16:00 | WMP not working... that's a real loss. Try some freeware alternatives, VLC, media player classic, FFDShow etc | E|im (87) | ||
