| 333480 | 2005-03-12 13:19:00 | I have installed a SATA 200G drive on my system and successfully transferred al my data from my old drive to the new one. Both still on my pc as I'm too paranoid at this stage to do away with the old one (removing data from it). I had a lot of problems with my Norton IS and Systemworks and eventually removed it all including all their registry entries. Installed a free antivirus programme and relies on my router and windows firewall. The latest problems are 1) that my system (on new drive) hangs when I use Windows Media Player as soon as I want to access another webpage or open another apllication. I run WXP, SP2 with two drives (200G and 60G) with 1gb RAM. However, this does not happen when I run off my old drive (60gb with 10g free). The old drive seems to be very stable compared to the new one. Problem 2: on new drive when it boots up; after starting up, My Documents folder opens up as well as one other. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? Thanks very much. |
