| 334040 | 2005-03-14 22:32:00 | I have 1 empty slot with a maximum of 2 slots. My current ram is in slot #2 and it's 2100/266mhz ddr ram. My pc's speed is 2400mhz/533mhz. What kind of ram should I buy?, should i buy 3200/400mhz ? that seems to be the fastest one but I read an amateur site saying that if i have 1 ram that's 266mhz and 1 ram that's 400mhz, both of them will operate at 266mhz. Is this true? or if i add the 400mhz one, it will run at 400mhz? |
