Hello there, I've got a computer running Windows XP home edition and I am using a dial-up modem. The phone line is constantly connected to the phone jack on the wall. Whenever I am not using the internet, if my house phone rings (my house only has 1 line) and I pick it up, I will hear some modem noise(nope, no diallers detected on my machine) and I will not be able to listen to anyone talking on the other end. I had uninstall the fax capability of the modem. Any ideas? |
