334640 2005-03-16 04:48:00 What programs are you running when this happens? Is it during gaming or playing music, or what? FoxyMX (5)
334641 2005-03-16 04:55:00 don't know what memtest86 is, so no i didn't run it whiskey419 (7609)
334642 2005-03-16 04:56:00 stutter is not associated to any particular action. happens during anything whiskey419 (7609)
334643 2005-03-16 05:07:00 Memtest86 is a memory (RAM) testing program to check whether your RAM is OK. As you have just reformatted and reinstalled Windows I think it is unlikely to be the problem but it wouldn't hurt to eliminate it as a possibility. FoxyMX (5)
334644 2005-03-16 05:25:00 With the speakes stuttering, it sounds like you had some sort of audio being played out of them at the time anyway? Or is this more spontaneous noise emitting from the speakers when it should of been quiet otherwise?

Do you have onboard sound or a separate sound card? Did you install the motherboard drivers or sound card drivers after re-formatting and installing Win98se?

334645 2005-03-16 06:14:00 Probably something stealing CPU cycles, or processor not equipped to handle it + antivirus + spyware scanners and whatever else you're running at the same time. E|im (87)
334646 2005-03-16 06:15:00 Wow whiskey !!
Responses from Chill, FoxyMX and Jen - "la creme de la creme" - you are on a fuss. Most members would be really thrilled to get responses from these three.
All you need now is the godfather !

I certainly can add nothing - but best wishes.
cheers
