| 334649 | 2005-03-16 17:50:00 | my system hangs spontaneously. the reason i said stuttering is that if a sound were playing at the time of hangup it would repeat that sound during the hangup, i.e. Hello would become hello-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o, the last syllable repeating. i dont think its a sound issue because sound isn't always playing during hangup. separate sound card, soundblaster pci 64v, all drivers updated except motherboard. this happened once before after a reinstall, but i can't remember what i did. i've fixed all my own computer problems with pretty good success, but this one has me stumped |

| 334650 | 2005-03-16 17:59:00 | i agree with stolen cycles. i'm actually running less than i was before the clean install. virus and firewall run all the time, spyware manually. i've also disabled all autoupdate to keep as little as possible running. task scheduler doesn,t have anything in it. 191 M Ram is at 51% free resources right now | whiskey419 (7609) | ||
