335419 2005-03-18 15:19:00 Hi I have just had my broadband activated,Iam having a problem when online due to an error message from microsoft to either send or dont send, and when I saw the error report,it said that it was a device driver fault.I was told that the driver either wasnt signed or it was not correct for the version of windows on whichI installed it. (XP) stopping windows working correctly.I am using a trusty internet ISP and, they assure me the signing and compatability were ok.i notice the prob more when on the MSN Messenger talk line with a friend, about every 20 mins it goes to the error message and sometimes blue screen syndrome prior to starting. Could it be that the driver (whichever one) needs upgrading and if so from where.many thanks

335420 2005-03-18 18:36:00 Here is a article about finding unsigned drivers which may help.
How To Verify Unsigned Device Drivers in Windows XP
support.microsoft.com

Can you copy the exact error or driver name here ,which will help greatly.

335422 2005-03-18 19:40:00 Unsigned drivers work no prob at all. If its the right driver. Are you using a webcam, in Messenger? When it crashes?? The webcam drivers maybe faulty/corrupted??

What version of MSN Messenger are you using?? 6.2? Or the beta version of 7?

335428 2005-03-19 10:20:00 Hi Johnboy.I have been into the device managr and found that there are no yellow ? marks. I clicked on all the + signs to open them up but no question marks anywhere, but the msoft, error still says device driver error but no number or to which driver???It says to be sure that all signed and if compat with XP which it is I have been on to Wanadoo who said the software driver is ok and that the software is compat for my pc.But where and which of the device drivers is it :help: :( steamman (82)
