i did setup my PC as a VPN server but the problem is, only 1 max connection is allowed at a time. So that means if i had 6 friends taht are going to connect to me, 5 of them wont be able to. |

You are correct in the fact that xp will only allow one vpn connection. If you dont want to buy a router with multiple vpn capabilities then buy a copy of windows server, win server will allow you to have multiple connections. And if you can setup one vpn you can setup multiple connections the same way.

ok so that clarifies things somewhat - if one wants to set up a computer as a vpn server , XP only allows one in-coming connection at a time . To get around this one needs the "server" to be running a server os version of windows , or use a router that can support multiple vpn's [ I presume this function "over-rides XP's "one at a time" limit ] Interesting ... |
