| 335147 | 2005-03-17 17:39:00 | hi ive got problems with my sound at the moment i just reinstalled my pc. ive got a dell dimension 2400. im not an expert on computers but my bro has the same pc and he has soundmax so i gather thats what i have. i downloaded about 20 different drivers for it of the internet and at the end of each time it says 'driver not found. reboot your computer and try again' i restart my pc and it says the same thing. eny ideas i realy need the sound thnkz | black_oli (7623) | ||

| 335149 | 2005-03-17 19:16:00 | hi ive got problems with my sound at the moment i just reinstalled my pc. Can you clarify what you mean by "i just reinstalled my pc"? Did you reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows? If so, did you reinstall the motherboard drivers? |

| 335151 | 2005-03-17 22:56:00 | You need the right driver for it. If the Dell website doesn't have it then you'll need to look up the motherboard model and find out what chip is on it. Or have a look inside to see. Or you could try this program: http://www.drivershq.com/ You can use the free trial and it should pick up what it needs. |
