336091 2005-03-20 08:48:00 Check out Pricespy (www.pricespy.co.nz). You can get 200GB SATA 8MB cache drives for less than $256-. To expand your choice, there's nothing wrong with Seagate or Western Digital drives. Murray P (44)

336093 2005-03-20 09:11:00 There are 8MB cache drives there for less than the price mentioned for the Diamond MAx drives. They're all much the same these at the mo, although I admit to a soft spot for Seagate too. Murray P (44)
336094 2005-03-20 09:40:00 Taklord , apart from SATA , what else do you want from your board ?
RAID , LAN , firewire/ multiple USB2 , front audio ?? etc
What OS do you intend to install ?
As it's to be a gaming machine have you a preference re video card? AGPx8 or PCIe ?
ASUS , Gigabyte , MSI , Tyan [maybe not for your processor ... :) ] , Soltek all make good boards , and there are others eg Albatron that may be great [ no personal experience ] There is a great variation in price between all of these .

He says for his "Athlon XP 2600" so it has to be a socket A board and there aren't any that I know of, with PCI-E on it.
