335924 2005-03-19 22:55:00 What was the error with Nero?.
You might need the mpeg codecs installed?

335926 2005-03-20 00:07:00 It says insert "medium" that provides bigger space. I have cd burner, Ahead Nero Application and 700MB cd-r. Do I have chance to accomplish my mission.

Thanks

335927 2005-03-20 00:16:00 no not really. you will need a DVD writer, you cannot burn that file size onto a cdr or cdrw unless you split it over a few disks. Prescott (11)
335928 2005-03-20 00:28:00 You could try a video or super video cd. (If your Nero has this option).

It'll fit on a cd. BUT it may not look as good, as a dvd.

I did a video cd for a 1.57gb mpeg. Worked no prob at all.

335929 2005-03-20 04:30:00 Looks like you're going to need to:
Compress the Video (KVCD)
Re-encode it to XviD is another option (But then it wont play on a DVD Player)
You could buy a DVDRW Drive....
Or if you're simply wanting to take it to a mates PC, then grab WinRAR and use it to rar & split the file :)

335930 2005-03-20 06:41:00 If you havent got a DVD burner you have to reduce your 1.36Gb file to less than 700Mb to fit on a CD. One way of doing this is to convert the mpeg to avi, this usually reduces the size to about 65% of the original with out any loss of video quality and with a small loss of sound quality, this of course depends on the quality of the original. I dont know the exact figures I'm only going on my own experience. Are you familiar with the brilliant video editor VirtualDub ? This isn't a burner its an editor and its free. If you havent got it download it now, and I'll give you the benifit of my experience of using it.
