336701 2005-03-22 04:28:00 I am not sure exactly how that occured...but I was trying to get this game working and went to:

regedit and then looking around with the
hkey_ local_ machines---hardware----Devicemap---Scsi---ports

But somehow something changed and I am not sure exactly what...and now my cdrom is labeled as dvd rom

yet im not sure if that caused this situation...Now my drive is labeled as dvd drive and it is not reading cds....any suggestions please..

336704 2005-03-22 06:23:00 uninstall and re-install the drive Agent_24 (57)
336705 2005-03-22 06:35:00 Windows first identifies the hardware and then loads on a compatible driver,if its identified it wrongly then simply uninstalling the drive via device manager or actually unpluging the drive wont help, its got a record of what it thinks it is and reloads the wrong driver.

The memory of what it thinks it is,is located in the registry and the key needs to be delted for it to start from scratch.

Easy enough.

Though now im halfway through my post i decided to look at the screenshot, you should definitly uninstall all optical drive entris from the device manager first.
