1381519 2014-08-12 03:30:00 I have several HDDs, some are ok, some are quite suspect.

To make it easier to check them, I have thought of using a caddy. I have looked at Easyswap Pro+ which fits into a 5 1/2" bay (USB2) and a Digitus DA-71035 external USB3.

Any thoughts on these two or would you recommend something else to consider.

1381520 2014-08-12 04:11:00 I use Vipower mobile sata racks :en.vipower.com

Paradigm used to stock them, but I don't think they do now. Ascent have this model :www.ascent.co.nz

I have 3 of these which are all plastic with key lock, and 3 aluminium bodied ones which have a slide swich. Unfortunately the two types are not interchangeable.

If you are going to fit caddies into 5 1/2" bays then SATA may be better, otherwise if the caddy is external then it would need to be USB.

I modified one inner tray to take a SSD drive.

1381522 2014-08-12 09:25:00 What will work better, especially if only testing is a Hard Drive Dock, Something like www.ascent.co.nz Simply plug in Via USB, snap the drive in. Saves having to dismantle enclosures all the time.

Do a google search for Hard Drive Dock, there's plenty of them, different brands etc.
