| 1381449 | 2014-08-11 04:37:00 | My five year old AMD Desktop was completely unplugged and shutdown for 3 weeks while I was away. At this time it was running fast and perfectly. Today on returning I fired it up as normal, selected my emails and left it to download a small backload. When I returned It had defaulted to the black screen advising of a shutdown and giving the options to restart...i.e. Last good configuration, safe mode etc, or normal windows start. I have tried all of the options several times but it merely attempts to restart then returns to this page. I am still running XP but everything was up to date and fully anti-virused Any indications suggested here that may explain the problem..? Tks |
