| 1368053 | 2014-02-19 05:10:00 | Kim Dot Com is a New Zealand Resident, and as such deserves the respect of the New Zealand Government. If Zippity has his way any household can be raided by armed police on the instructions of a foreign country, we may as well live in the 3rd world. Kim has not committed a crime in New Zealand, has been cleared by the courts in Germany, and operates out of Hong Kong. Why hasn't John Keys shown some guts and told the US where to get off? If they really want to go ahead with the prosecution it should be done here in New Zealand. I can not see what his case has to do with the US! Maybe they should sort out all the other suspect American websites first. I liken the situation to holding the Transport Department responsible for any wrongdoing by motorists using their roads. Dot Com provided the means of swapping data files on line. The users are the guilty party's. John Keys should stop being a gutless wimp and tell them where to get off, David Lange would never have put up with this crap. The Government should also compensate the NZ firms who are can not be paid by Dot Com because his assets have been frozen. Legal action is costing us, the tax payers, millions of dollars. I suggest that John Keys foots the legal bills and attempts to recoup from the US Government - good luck with that! |

It is amusing to note how the MSM has stopped cuddling up to him over the past week or so as more information comes out. It is hilarious to see some of our lefty politicians scuttling for cover over the past couple of days. |

Dot Com provided the means of swapping data files on line . The users are the guilty party's . 3 points - Dot Com new exactly what his site was primarily used for . . . . so aiding & abetting software piracy - ISP's know exactly why home users need 20G++ data caps , it aint for email . ISP's are aiding & abetting software piracy - ISP's also dont block access to sites that are known to be used only for piracy . So ISP's are aiding & abetting software piracy . Who here can honestly say they have never watched anything 'pirated' , be it streaming on youtube or downloaded by a friend Who can say they have NEVER had or listened to a mp3/music file they didnt actually pay for Dont we believe in innocent till proven guilty anymore . I say keep Dotcom & jail the politians who took his money & gave him access to NZ in the first place . Thats the real dodgy story in NZ . Not just dotcom either, there have been others who bought there way into NZ with cash to people in high places . |

ISP's are aiding & abetting software piracy Often but not always - there are many ways to legitimately use over 20GB a month. I say keep Dotcom & jail the politians who took his money & gave him access to NZ in the first place. Thats the real dodgy story in NZ. Not just dotcom either, there have been others who bought there way into NZ with cash to people in high places. I say that's a darn good point and idea. |

| 1368061 | 2014-02-19 23:02:00 | The bit that worries me is the Third World look our Justice System is taking on. In this case the Court of Appeal has over-ruled our Chief High Court Judge, and now it looks like the matter is heading to the Supreme Court. How come our learned Judges cant agree? :illogical Clearly our Weasel Looking Attorney General has had a hand to play, and I wouldnt trust him any further than the majority of people in his electorate do. How and why Key chose a List MP to become #8 on the party list and Attorney General has a nauseating Pong about it. |
