So its OK to kill your neighbours pets for no good reason ? Thats the distinction here . Its NOT illegal to trap & kill neighbourhood cats, if done humanely. I dont think a crossbow could be called humane. |

Nope, unless you get a lucky shot through the brain or heart, the animal could suffer a slow painfull death. Have a looksee at the photo in the linked article : head shot & it ran off with the bolt in its head. Ever seen a vid of deerhunting with bows...they arnt necessarily killed or even knocked down by 3 or 4 arrows . A bit barbaric really. What came before what is irrelevant. Pointed sticks & clubs were around before the crossbow, and after . :thumbs: Perhaps the question should be, when are we going to make xbows, air rifles & high power slingshots only available to those with a gun license or registered members of the associated clubs. All far to easy to get hold of & abuse, no need for them in cities/surburbs . |
