| 1367799 | 2014-02-17 04:24:00 | Hi, so the wife is driving us back home and we are on a 2 lane road, it is not a motorway. I say to her she should move over into the left lane to allow any to pass on the right. She says she doesnt have too as she is doing 50k etc etc....Well, we had a big argument over that, and im telling her, it is inconsiderate to sit on the limit in the right hand lane...blah, blah, I now have to get the bus home..LOL. I have been driving around 33 yrs now, her about 10. As I did my test way back when, i really couldnt tell who is right other than its inconsiderate and in the UK, it is the law... Any thoughts? |

Doesn't the good book say keep as far to the left as practical at all times. |

I am uncertain of the law but my belief is that it also agrees with you. | CliveM (6007) | ||

| 1367805 | 2014-02-17 04:51:00 | Point out to her that if she sticks to the middle, she is not only demonstrating her lack of knowledge of the road code, she is putting herself as close as she can to the traffic that is coming toward her fastest. Oncoming traffic makes the biggest mess in collisions, best to try and avoid that. | R2x1 (4628) | ||
| 1367806 | 2014-02-17 05:16:00 | If there are 2 lanes and she keeps the left of her right lane she is fine. No one should pass her if she is doing the correct speed. Go left if fire police or ambo behind. I dont tolerate people undertaking me either I speed up and keep pace with them so they cant go around me. | prefect (6291) | ||

Otherwise left. I do it on the motorway unless I need to be in a particular lane, get in the leftmost one. |
