1367401 2014-02-11 20:37:00 And many Companies do have ridiculous password policies
So what happens (where I used to work) was passwords had to be changed every 30 days & had to have some Upper case, numbers, 8+ characters, special characters etc etc
So the passwords were so complex & so often forcibly changed that either user would keep forgetting them & ring IT to reset it..
or simply write the password on a bit of paper stuck on the PC : totally defeating the purpose of that password policy

1367402 2014-02-12 01:23:00 Resetting a password should be easy - remembering a complex password is the hard part. Bobh (5192)
1367403 2014-02-13 23:57:00 I like using Open Source Keepass for my passwords. I have 33 logins, and each one now has a complex password from the built-in random password generator.

http://keepass.info/

Free version works with Windows, Apple OS X, Linux, dropbox.

Pay version can read same file from iPhone and Andriod.
