| 1367131 | 2014-02-08 06:16:00 | My antique friend is needing something to help him remember when to take his medication etc. I was thinking that an appropriate cellphone might do the trick. His current one is (almost) as antique as he is and does nothing apart from calls. Can anyone recommend a simple to use phone that is not too expensive and has a calendar/alarm facility? He has no need for fancy apps or wi-fi or any sort of data - just calls and reminders. Any ideas? |

I knew my own phone (Nokia N63) could do it, but I wasn't sure how general that was outside the smartphone category. I'll check his phone when I next see him - maybe his can actually do it already. | Tony (4941)

He does know how to use his current phone, so I'll check that out first to see if it will do the job. | Tony (4941)

For someone who doesn't know how to SMS, email or use the computer. You can change the fonts larger, put a color over the text like a bright orange. You can set it so it rings a tone after each hour and set it between hours so it doesn't do it in the early mornings. The buttons are large too. |
