| 1367859 | 2014-02-18 23:14:00 | As far as speeders go no way will I let them pass even if I have to crash and get hurt. That sounds like a very ignorant defeatist attitude. Would it not be more beneficial to take 2-3 seconds to pull over enough to let them go past then report their license plate to the cops if you thought they were driving in an overly aggressive and speeding manner? While I agree that it is illegal to exceed the posted speed limit in this country, a lot of quite country roads do allow for it and most modern cars are more than capable of driving faster than 100kph, some drivers are also perfectly safe driving faster than 100 kph and often do so. If a revenue collector happens to catch them in the process you can just laugh at their misfortune rather than creating an unnecessary traffic casualty through your own stupidity. Ive seen that happen a number of times while driving between at certain spots between Otorohanga and Huntly. |

Yes I know the feeling you know there is a god when they get they pulled over especially when you have rung*555 to dob them in. The bit I like is slowing down and saying to them "good one ****" |

The bit I like is slowing down and saying to them "good one ****" Yes, that would be a preferable outcome, as opposed to being that driver with the open road ahead of him and 20 frustrated drivers stuck behind him because they can't get passed due to on coming traffic. |

If they are speeding and you speed up to prevent them passing, you are then speeding as well, making you just as bad - and it's probably not going to stop them from speeding anyway. |
